Starts to Attend School
Maya makes friends over the time period and she is even participating in gymnastics.After a while she gets a permission slip from the school for a dance but knnows that she cant go to it. Yet she keeps the slip and holds on to the bit of hope she has to go have fun. -
Maya's Brother Gets Into a Fight
The day of her big gymnasyics meet , her little brother gets into a fight with his bully. THey said the the bully was picking on him because he couldn't pronounce words an dhe looked differant. Maya had to call her father adn schedule a conferance with the pricipla. Maya stayed and "Translated" for her fathers understanding. She trsnslated the words to protect her brother from what her father had planned to do. -
Maya's Mom Hurts Herself
Maya gets home from her stressful day at school only to find her mothers ankel wrapped and crutches next to her. Maya soon finds out that her mother has been hurt on the job and csnt work. Maya must take on the motherly responsibility unti her mothers recovery. -
Maya Gets Into More Trouble
Shortly a couple days after her brother getting into trouble, maya was found in the arms of an american boy by her strict father.Her father was furious and took her home immidiatly.When they got home she trie explaining but was cut off and sent to her room. Maya Gets A Gift
Maya's mother gives her a braclet that was passed down to her throughout the years. Maya is extreamly greatful for the gift because she could tell it meant alot to her mother. -
Maya Asks to Go To The Dance
Maya"s brotherfeel that she deserves some fun so he offers to ak her dad if she can go to the dance.Soon her father accepts and lets her go but only if her brother goes as well amd stays with her. Maya is estatic and happy that her dream of going can become a reality. -
Maya Goesd To Dance
Maya gets to go to the dance, and she is excited. Though she is nervous to whats going to happen there. WShe enters with her friend and starts to look around a bit to scope it out. Soon her friend Daniel askes her to dance. They dance and have fun tehn she goes to check on her younger brother. Overall she had alot of fun at the dance and im sure she greatful that her dad let he go. -
Hwer brother Disapears
While dancing maya realizes that her younger brother is gone. She starts to worry at first but then just relazs realizing that he probably just went for air or saw someone he knows. Sge continues to danc euntill rthe end untill uits time to go. They load onto the bus to return home and share what fun she had. -
They Return Home
Maya returns home witb her brother from the dance.They were greeted by their tiresd mother being 'shhhhhhh''d when they walked in. THey were told to go to bed, and they did as told. Maya layed down and dreamed about her dance with the boy of her dreams,Daniel. She got out of bed and went to thank her brother for being her favorite chaperone.
