My parents were born during this and stayed there until after the war ended. However, because the U.S. bailed on them, the communists won and took over the rest of the country and in simple terms, its sucked so they eventually left. -

She came as a refugee and stayed with her older sister -
My dad came to Canada
My dad also came as a refugee and was the only person in his family to come to Canada. His brother and sister in law went to Australia and continutes to live there with their two children. -
My Family's First Car
We got a blue oldsmobile the year before I was born. After about ten years, it was scrapped. -

Our Family's First Trip
We flew for 12 hours to Vietnam and landed in Ho Chi Minh City where we stayed with my cousins in their house in Bac Lieu, also my parents' home town. We stayed for about a month. -

In the summer after my last sister was born, we bought a van. It was a gold Toyota Corolla.
