My Exposure to Media

  • Books

    Books
    Books or storybooks are the first media I was exposed to. It is printed on paper and compiled to become a book. It contains a story that is full of entertainment. Because of books, I learned how to read and how to write. My parents and also my Tita, who's a school teacher, are the ones who influenced me to enjoy reading. And until today, books are my source of entertainment, and it helps me to broaden my vocabulary.

    Television
    Television is a medium that shows moving images with a sound. It's used for entertainment and sharing informations. The first television that my family owned was an old model of TV where the controller was on the side and had a large back. I remember the struggle we experienced to fix the channel especially when the weather is windy.
  • Radio

    Radio
    Radio is a form of media and sound communication that transmits music, news, and other types of programs from single broadcast stations. This radio is owned by my Lola, and up until today, we're using it to listen to music and stories from different stations.
  • Newspaper

    A newspaper is a printed publication that contains current news worldwide, entertainment, advertisements, articles, and more. Newspapers are still available in the marketplace and I still see my Tita reading newspaper every morning. And the feature articles are still my favorite part of the newspaper.

    A Keypad phone is a type of phone that has a keypad rather than a touchscreen. My first phone is a keypad phone, it's an old phone from my mother. And I love to play snake games and read ebooks on my phone.

    A handheld device with a built-in DVD drive and flip-over lid that contains a screen. You have to put a CD player on it to watch movies. My father gifted me a DVD player when he got home from work in Marikina. And it's my favorite gift from him because I got to watch my favorite cartoon shows whenever I wanted. It's a very usable device because it's handheld and not difficult to manipulate.

Cell phone is a device that everyone owns today. It's reliable because it's handheld and very convenient for communication. It has a very big contribution to our lifestyle.

    Laptops are designed to be portable computers. They are smaller and lighter than desktops. Laptop is a personal computer that can be easily moved and used in a variety of locations. Having a laptop is very convenient, especially for office workers, teachers, and students. You can do your work more comfortably, and it can be used without much hassle.
