First Day of School
Kindergarten: Age 5. -
First Work Experience Job
Willow Tree Children's centre. Throughout this experience I was able to discover my passion for working with children. -
Final Year at Tara's Academy of Dance
I spent 15 years training in a variety of different dance disciplines at T.A.D. It taught me so many skills and boosted my self confidence. I also learned how to work with a team and this resulted in a group of lifelong friends. -
High School Graduation
I graduated from Hughenden Public School in June of 2013. I received 3 scholarships for my academics and leadership skills. -
First Year at Red Deer College
I chose to attend Red Deer college in pursuit of my Bachelor of Education Degree, and in my first year I had set the intention of making it into the Middle Years Program. I lived in the school residence and made some lifelong friends. -
Summer Splash Summer Camp
After my first year in school I became employed at the Summer Splash camp provided on the Wainwright Military base. I worked closely with children planning fun and engaging activities throughout the summer, and this furthered my passion of working with children in my future. -
Acceptance into the Middle Years Program
And I cried.. I was so proud of this accomplishment and even more excited to begin the following September. -
My First Teaching Practicum: Eastview Middle School
For my 5 week practicum I attended Eastview Middle School teaching grade 5. I worked alongside my mentor and taught English and Social Studies. -
Catholic Social Services: Summer Student
Between my 3rd and 4th year of school I became employed through Catholic Social Services as a facilitator of the children's summer program. During my time their I had the opportunity to work with many special needs children and their families. -
4th Year Begins
Entered my final year of the Middle Years Bachelor of Education Program -
Extended 9 Week Practicum
I started my final practicum at Wainwright Elementary School in Grade 6.
