My Educational Journey

The Day I Was Born
I was born in Three Hills Alberta and I am the youngest of three in my family. -
Kindergarten
I went to school in Three Hills, Alberta at Prairie Christian Academy from kindergarten - grade 12. -
Grade 6
Mr. A was my teacher in grade 6. Through his incredible relationship and teaching skills he influenced my decision to pursue a career as a teacher. In Three Hills he is simply known as the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time). -
Grade 8
My first experience of Junior High. At the time PCA was split up into k-7, 8-9, and 10-12. -
High-school Graduation
I graduated from PCA in 2012 at the age of 17 with the uncertainty of what career to pursue. FYI- The beautiful woman in this picture is now my wife. -
1st Day at Red Deer College
After working a year and a half in the construction field I went back to school at Red Deer College to pursue a Bachelor of Education Degree while playing on the school soccer team -
Diploma Completion
The completion of my diploma and the first 2 of 4 years done in my Education Degree! -
1st Day of Middle Years Program
I was given the opportunity to complete my University of Alberta Degree in Red Deer Alberta with a select few. This cohort and program has been an incredible learning experience which I am exceedingly grateful for. -
Introductory Field Experience (IFX)
For my first practicum I taught Grade 6 at East View Middle School in Red Deer Alberta. It was an amazing experience where I had the privilege to work underneath two mentor teachers. -
Advanced Field Experience (AFX)
I am currently in my last term of the RDC/UofA Middle Years Program. Starting on February 13, 2017 I will be teaching in Brownfield School. Because of the long commute I was unable to complete the extended practicum which would have started in September. Thankfully, the staff and students at this school are few and I know everyone already! I was recently Santa Claus at their school Christmas Concert. I cannot wait to start teaching here in my Practicum! -
Completion of Education Degree
This marks the end of my educational degree, but it does not mark the end of my learning. I hope to start subbing this summer and teaching in September! Yahoo!
