Sam drops out of college
Sam has dropped out of college to go to the war. He and father had agruments ever since he got home. -
Sam returns home
Sam has returned and he has told mother and father that he joined the war. He also told them that he dropped out of college. -
Sam comes back
Sam had come back to get dad's gun. He only wanted it because everybody in the war needed their own gun. -
Tim is a messanger
Tim got asked to take a message to a guy down in Ridgebury for Mr. Horeen. He got yelled at by father because father said he would get taken by the British soldiers. Before Tim got two miles out of the villiage Becky stopped him and asked him what the letter was. Becky told Tim it was about Sam but he didn't believe her. They wrestled for it and becky got and it read it. The letter never got to the guy down in Ridgebury. -
Tim struggles
Tim struggles with the chores that Sam was suppose to be doing. When Sam left Tim was mad and sad. Tim was behind his chores and everything else when he left. -
Father has been taken away
Father has been captured by the British and had been taken away from his family. He has been taken to a prision ship of the British's. -
Tim and Father eat
Tim and father has made a trip to Ridebury to get some things for the tavern. They always stop and a little bit of bread and drank some beer or wine. -
Tim and Father stop
Tim and father have stopped at one of their cousins house in New York after getting the things for the tavern. They stay there for a while and leave to get visit one of father's friends. -
British soldiers come
British troops have been moving in and taking over the villiage. They have taken Colonel Read and other men. -
Tim gets shot
Timothy was going down to see Sam and he brought a bayonet with him. When Tim gotten there he saw gaurds standing outside of the building. Tim ran and yelled "Sam take it I will come back and get you when I come. Then Timothy ran up the hills and he got shot by one of the soldiers down there. Tim got shot on the left shoulder. He had gotten a chunk of skin shot off by that soldier. -
Tim gets meat
Tim has been gone forever and he has broughten meat back for his family for the winter. He got back without his father and when he got back he saw mother by the fire sad. -
FATHER DIES
Father has died from an illness that he had gotten from the British prison ship. -
Mother doesn't let Tim ring the bell
Tim was asked to rind the bell that the British were coming but his mother said no. When she yelled no the man was threatened by mother with a poker. -
Mothers worried
Mother was worried about Tim and father during the winter storm. She thought they wouldn't make it home in time. -
Sam stole cattle
Sam was accused for taking our own cattle. There were these two mean drunken and they both got into our barn and took three cattle. They both were trying to get meet to eat, so Sam ran after them and trying to get the cattle back but he couldn't. One of the men was on the ground gutting one of the cows and the other was hurting Sam. -
Tim turns into a man
Tim has been alone and lonely since his father has been taken away while heading back home. Tim has to come over his fear of the British and go home alone. -
Tim hides food
Tim has hidden food from the soldiers that are stealing. The soldiers can steal because they have no money, food, or anything except huts. -
Soldiers stealing food from eachother
Soldiers have been stealing food from their own people because they have been starving ever since the stock prices have gone up. They all don't have any money to by it so they steal it. -
Tim resigns
Tim resigns from going to Sam's public death with the understanding that he cannot be saved. -
SAM DIES
Sam has been executed because he has "stolen" his own cattle.
