The british are walking around redding and are going to houses demanding for weapons and stealing food from the people, they went to fathers tavern and had a sword to fatherrs face . -
Tims sneaks and starts to deliver letters for mr heron

Father and Tim head to Verplanks Point, New York .
Tim and father head to verplanks point to sell there cattle (beef) to get money for supplies for the tavern and to improve the tavern -
Cowboys Capture father
The cowboys capture father and tim goes and looks for him but cant seem to find him and follows the footsteps and doesnt find him so he goes and heads home and tells mother the news -
Father is announced dead
father is captured by the cowboys and was put on a british ship and got sick and dies on the ship. mother is terrified and sad mad -
Climax- Tim tries to save his brothers life.
Tim realizes the certainty of Sam's execution and runs out with his late father's bayonet, hoping somehow to stop it. -
Falling action- tim watches Sam get executed
Tim resigns himself to attend his brother's public death with the understanding that he cannot save Sam -
