    With Gatsby's removed from the picture, Daisy can do nothing else but move on. Thus, she marries the wealthy Tom Buchanan. Tom is very successful and resides in East Egg with Daisy. He also went to college with Nick.

    • Nick moves to West Egg on Long Island to learn the bond business.
    • He rents a house directly next to Gatsby's mansion.
    • Nick visits Tom and Daisy on East Egg, only a short drive away.
    • Tom takes Nick into the city to a party with his mistress.
    • Nick becomes involved with Jordan Baker.

  • Criticial Year! 1922! PART 2

    • Gatsby brings Nick to the city where he finds out that Gatsby is involved with illegal activities.
    • Gatsby's "friend" is Meyer Wolfsheim.
    • Jordan Baker and Nick go out for tea and Jordan tells Nick about the romantic history between Daisy, his cousin, and Gatsby.
    • Nick sets up a tea gathering between Daisy and Gatsby. Gatsby is nervous and Daisy is not expecting to see him. It is a joyful reunion.
    • Tom and Daisy attend one of Gatsby's parties. Tom does not like Gatsby and his new money
  • In the Fall of 1922

    • Keep in mind that Tom DOES find out about the crash into Myrtle. He sees Myrtle's husband devastated and takes advantage of the situation by telling him, Mr. Wilson, that Gatsby killed Myrtle (it was actually Daisy!).
    • Nick turns 30 years old the day of the crash but nobody cares. They are too consumed in their own lives...selfish.
    • Tom and Daisy move away. Mr. Wilson kills Gatsby at his mansion.
  • From Bad to Worse: Criticial Events in 1922

    From Bad to Worse: Criticial Events in 1922
    • Tom Buchanan witnesses the passion between Gatsby and Daisy. Then, the suggestion is thrown out to go into the city to cool off with some drinks. They go to the Plaza Hotel in NYC.
    • THIS IS WHERE TOM AND GATSBY HAVE THEIR LARGEST VERBAL ALTERCATION. GATBSY LOSES HIS COOL. AND, DAISY SLOWLY SLIPS AWAY FROM HIM.
    • Gatsby drives Daisy home when Myrtle, Tom's mistress, runs out in the middle of the road and gets hit by the car. DAISY WAS DRIVING.http://goddardenglishscholars.files.wordpress.com
