Director David Wark Griffith is the "father" of cinematographic terminology, creator of the first flashback, first to use natural and artificial light combined and creator of the 3 movie base laws: time, space and action. -
SOUND
The 30's marked a cinematographic revolution by bringing sound into movies and exhibiting the first movies with voices and sound. -
SPECIAL EFFECTS
Advances in special effects allow filming in less expensive locations and the first auto cinema is opened in L.A. -
T.V. MOVIES
Studios are adapted to film movies for T.V. screens since it is a better business. -
3D MOVIES
3D movies are developed and need special glasses. -

Garret Brown creates the steady cam, that allows the camera to travel with a person and therefore create smooth sequences of fast movement scenes or different perspectives. -

Star Wars: Episode I becomes the first film to be completely filmed in High Definition. -
SPECIAL EFFECTS
Special effects have developed enormously and have become a big part of movies and series, creating unbelievable things that would otherwise be impossible. -
ACCESIBLE FILM MAKING DEVICES
Cameras, such as GoPro, smart phones or drones, have allowed the world to create their own "films" and bring to life their ideas, without it being too expensive and maintaining a good quality. These have also helped with the security and welfare of the world. -
