    The Peace of Augsburg

    The Peace of Augsburg was very important because it was the end of a thirty-year religious war between the Catholic Church and Protestant princes. This agreement allowed all princes to choose the religion of the state and therefore allowed Protestantism to be practiced without fear. This would encourage more people to convert and separate into different branches.
