  • Lexington

    Paul Revere, and two former associates went to go spread the word that there was going to be 700 British Troops that were going to go invade Concord. This caused them to send signals that the British were coming, so they rang bells, and they began to shoot gunshots. April 18, 1775.
  • Concord

    Redcoats began making their way to Concord, they reached Lexington first. They soon reached Concord, and when they did, there was a total of 100 minutemen who were standing there to protect themselves against the British. They entered into Concord, and they found an empty Arsenal, they did not know by this time there were 3-4 thousand minute men waiting for them when they were going to march back.   • Buker Hill

    After being all bundled up in Boston, the general of the militia decided to take action against the militiamen that were standing on Breed's hill. Gage then sent a total of almost 2,500 British soldiers up the hill, and when he did, the colonist waited until they saw all of the soldiers climb over that hill, and when the last one did, they completely annihilated all of the soldiers that were there. Colonist lost 450 men, when the British lost over 1,000. June 17, 1775
  • New York

    As part of the plan to help England end the rebellion, the British attempted to seize New York City. They were so persistent in doing this that they sent 32,000 troops. The colonials attempted to defend New York, however, they did not have the manpower, and training to do so, this caused them to retreat, and lose their control over New York. Summer of 1776.
  • Trenton

    Desperate man, Washington risked everything he had on a risky mission. This mission took place on a day nobody would see coming, Christmas. With a fierce storm in immensement, he still sent out 2400 men in small row boats across the nearly frozen Delaware River, which then they marched all the way to Trenton New Jersey. They defeated them in the surprise attack. December 25, 1776
  • Saratoga

    An official, named Burgoyne, traveled through a wilderness in attempt to take a win, all of his men gathered all over New York, and New England. Unknowingly, the British did not expect this. The American Troops surrounded Burgoyne, and he then surrendered his attack on October 17, 1777.
  • Marquis De Lafayette-

    In Feb of 1778, while in the setting of a frozen river, the troops from America have had an AMAZING transformation from what they had previously. They still needed some assistance to succeed, so there were different captains joining them, and also a man named Marquis De Lafayette. He was someone who was very strong, and he was a known leader for the French. February 1778
  • Valley Forge

    While there was little hope for Washington, and his continental army, who were very low on food supply, they fought to stay alive in Valley Forge. Many, many of the soldiers died, over 2,000. - February 1778
  • Philadelphia

    There was a rich Philadelphian official Robert Morris who was sent to be named as a superintendant of finance. September 8, of 1781, a continental major wrote in his diary that this will be a famous day in the Annals, since this person was on of the first troops of the United states who received one month's pay in Specie, which was a coin. There were a lot of men who had to leave for war, and when they did, the woman, their wives had to step in the shoes of the husband, and do all duties.
  • Yorktown

    By late September, there were about 17,000 French and American troops surrounding the Peninsula of Yorktown. They attacked for days, and nights, until finally by the day of October the 19th, of that year, which was 1781, Cornwallis finally gave up, and finally gave them what they came and attacked. This was very shocking to everyone, because nobody thought that anyone would be able to defeat the British. Late September - October 19, 1781
  • Treaty Of Paris

    This is where talks about the creation of Peace began. In the year of 1783, month of September, the American negotiation team came to an agreement that caused the chosen Delegates to sign the Treaty of Paris. This claimed the United States as an independence. This set many new national boundaries.
