Pharoah noticed that the population of the Hebrew slaves had begun to get too large, so he ordered the killing of all Hebrew firstborns in the country.

Moses is sent on the Nile

Moses's mother, in fear that her son would get killed, put Moses in a basket that she had weaved and set Moses in the Nile River to hopefully drift away so he could be found.
