Nirvana was an American rock band that was formed by singer/guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. Nirvana went through a lot of different drummers but the longest-lasting was Dave Grohl and he joined the band in 1990. -
Nirvana Releases Bleach
Nirvanas first album was called Bleach. Bleach consisted of the songs Blew, Floyd the Barber, About a Girl, School, Love Buzz, Paper Cuts, Negative Creep, Scoff, Swap Meet, Mr.Moustache and Sifting. Bleach was released in June 15,1989 but has been rereleased throught Nirvana's career adding new songs to it. -
Nirvana Releases Nevermind
Nevermind was Nirvana's second release album and reached the number one spot on the Billboard spot replacing Micheal Jackson's Dangerous. The song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was a huge hit with their fans and brought them even more fans. -
Kurt Cobain and Christie Love get married
Kurt Cobain and Christie Love, ho has her own band called the Hole, married in February 24,1992. Six months later, they had a child and named her Frances Bean Cobain. -
Nirvana Releases Incesticide
Nirvana released there second official album "incesticide" in 1992. The album consisted of the songs Dive, Sliver, Stain, Been a Son, Turn Around, Molly's Lips, Son of a Gun, Polly (new wave), Beeswax, Downer, Mexican Seafood, Hairspray Queen, Aroe Zeppelin, Big Long Now, and Aneurysm. -
Nirvana Releases In Utero
On September 21, 1993, Nirvana released its last album. This album was recorded by producer Steve Albini. It consisted of Serve the Servants, Scentless Apprentice, Heart-Shaped Box, Rape Me, France's Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle, Dumb, Very Ape, Milk It, Pennyroyal Tea, Radio Friendly Unit Shifter, Tourettes, and All Apologizes. -
Kurt Cobain is Found Dead
On April 8, 1994, Nirvana's lead singer and guitarist, Kurt Cobain, was found dead in his home in Seattle, Washington. Cobain struggled with drug addiction and had severe depression. He was found dead three days after taking a bullet to his head. -
Nirvana Splits
The very famous band, Nirvana, finnaly broke up after their lead singers death. They never officially called it quits but it was obvious that the grunge band was over. Over the years, they are still releasing updated albums.
