Born
Morgan Laine Hayward was born in to the loving family of Beth and Greg Hayward. She is their second child who will later be the middle child. Growing up in Sunnyvale, California, she enjoyed the warm weather and playing outside. -
Brother is Born
Morgan loves to spend time with her two brothers, Grant and Drew. They spend the days sledding and playing outside in the snow. However, Morgan is not thrilled that both of her brothers are taller than her. -
9/11
Morgan was very young when she woke up that morning. Her mother did not want her to see the news stories, and refused to let her watch TV. At school, everyone was quiet and sad. The only thing her teacher would tell the class is that some planes crashed in New York. Morgan would remeber this day for the rest of her life. -
First Death in the Family
Morgan was eight years old when her grandfather (dad's dad) died. It is always had to say goodbye to loved ones, especially from such a young age. Years later, Morgan still cherishes the memories she had with her grandfather. -
Baptized
Morgan was entered into the Mormon faith when she was eight years old. By doing this, she followed in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother. -
Met best friend
Eight grade math class was when Morgan met her best friend, Nieleen. Nine years later and hundreds of miles apart, they still share a tight bond. -
Starting High School
Morgan went to Freemont Highschool in Sunnyvale, California. While here, she would meet some friends that would stay with her forever, and some that would find their own paths. -
First Job
The first real job Morgan ever had was at the YMCA, helping with the summer program. A job teaches responsibility and consequences for your actions, and Morgan is grateful that she learned these things in such a loving environment. -
High School Graduation
Graduating high school is an important milestone everyone's life. When Morgan graduated high school, she celebrated with friends and family. She was both relieved and sad it was over, but she couldn't wait to start the next chapter of her life. -
First Nanny Job
Having independence in one thing, but taking care of someone else is a whole different story. Morgan got her first nanny job taking care of a three month old boy named Weston. Even though Morgan has since moved away, she still wishes him a happy birthday each year. -
First Day of College
Morgan started her college experience at De Anza College in Cupertino, California. Three years later she moved to Colorado and was accepted into the University of Colorado Boulder, where she continued her education. -
Adopted a Dog
Even though Morgan has a large family and many friends, she still had enough love in her heart to adopt an animal. With the help of her loved ones, she named him Thor. While Morgan is away at college, Thor stays with Morgan's family in Parker, Colorado, although he does not enjoy the thunderstorms. -
London and Paris Trip
Traveling alone, Morgan had to become more independent and rely on herself for things like transportation and safety. Consisting of one week, this trip was an big eye opener for her. It showed her what the future would be like when she went off to college and how to function on her own. This experience is very important because it taught her how to have confidence that she can take care of herself in the real world. -
Disneyworld Vacation
Family is very special to Morgan. She loves spending time with them on vacations or just hanging out in general. Every moment she can spend with her famil is special. -
Hawaii Trip with Mom
Morgan and her mother share a very tight bond. They love spending time together, which is why they decided to go to Hawaii together for their birthdays. -
First Car
Morgan was the first person in her family to buy a car without financial help from others. She is very proud of her first car, and she enjoys the independence it brings. -
Moving to Colorado
Moving away from her hometown was a difficult step for Morgan. It meant leaving her memories behind and going to a place she knows nothing about. It shaped her as a person, not knowing where things were and not having the comfort of home. -
First Half Marathon
After going through months of training, Morgan completed her first half marathon. This ignited her passion for running and she still trains in Colorado during her free time. -
Moving into First Apartment
Morgan moved into her apartment with her roommates when she first started at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her roommates taught her to enjoy the outdoors, get out of her comfort zone, and meet new people. -
Current
Morgan is a senior at the University of Colorado Boulder with a major in Communications and a minor in Education. She will continue her education through the summer and will graduate in the spring of 2017. Currently Morgan is visiting California and catching up with her friends and family.
