    On their way to Jamaica, the British captain of the ship “Zong” told his men to throw 133 live Africans overboard.
  • Sails to Australia

    Britain has transported convicts to its north american colonies and was ended by the american war of independence and by British.

    Between Britain, France, and America. Wasn’t the most successful war. Indians definitely lost, but everyone technically lost and won.
  • Monroe Doctrine

    During this time America and Britain bonded in a since. It allowed trade to grow between them and Britain and America announced their opposition to further intervention in America.

    Both Great Britain and the Untied States agreed on a treaty for slave trade.
  • British Slave Revolt

    Samuel Sharpe leads 20,000 slaves to take control of Jamaica. It took the British troops one month to take the island back. Samuel was executed after the revolt.
  • Abolished Slavery

    During 1834, Great Britain was going through a time of “apprenticeship”. During this time people were forced to work without pay. At the end of this time, 700,000 slaves were freed.
