Slavery Finally Ends
The 13th amendment ended slavery in 1865. -
13th amendment
The 13th amendment was ratified on December 6,1865 and abolished slavery. -
14th amendment
The 14th amendment was passed July 9,1868 and it granted all former slaves citizenship and gave them equal rights. -
15th amendment
The 15th amendment gave all african americans the right to vote. -
Plessy vs. Ferguson
The plessy vs ferguson case is black mixed man who is plessy. Plessy refused to give up his seat even though he was supposed to sit with the blacks so technically the white seat is not his seat because he was not directed to seat there and since he refused to give up his seat he was jailed. Ferguson is a judge who said that if the train provided seperate but equal seats then plessy's rights were protected. The supreme court decided that plessy vs. ferguson allowed states to pass segregation law -

Emmitt is a african american who was dared to go talk to a white woman in the store and he did what he was challenged to do. He was murdered on July 25,1941 -

Virgil Blossom
Virgil blossom the superintended of the Little rock schools annouced a plan to integrate the schools slowly begining in 1957 and he did this in 1955. -

The National guards refused to let them enter Central High. -

President Eishenhower went to Little Rock to discuss the crisis there -
Ordering Gov. Fabus
A federal judge told fabus to let the little rock nine inside of the building and he said that he would but he will remove the National Guards off of school property. -
President Eisenhower
He sent the 101st Airborne Troops to protect the little rock nine during school -
Little Rock Nine
The Little rock nine is nine students who attended central high school and they were apart of the NAACP. And they worked with a member named Daisy Bates which is the president of the NAACP. -

Ernest Green Graduated in 1957 just 2 months before the delay of school intergration. -

Nobody protected the little rock nine after the airborne division departed from them -
School Board
The school board requested for intergration to be posrponed until 1961 and for school to be closed until people except segregation -
Federal judges deciding on things
They decided that the public schools will be closed and intergration will be postponed until 1961 until people except integration -
Intergration Or No
They decide that that it w\ould be segrgated because they did not want intergration because of the racial lines that were drawn. -
Governor Fabus passed laws
They decided to keep the schools open and accept integration because they did not have enough money for private schools
