Lincoln Assassination
On April 14, 1865 Abraham Lincoln was assasinated by John Wilkes Booth. Booth did this to try and revive the Conferderate cause during the end of the civil war. -

The Civil Rights Act of 1965 outlawed different forms of discrimination against racial, ethnic, national and religious minorities and women. -

Started in , medicaid helped people and families with low incomes. It helped low income familes and people with disabilaties. -
Watergate Scandal
The Watergate Scandal was a political scandal that occurred during the 70's. President Richard Nixon and his staff were accused of bribery, abuse of power and obstruction of justice. This scandal led to Nixon resigning in August 1974. -
Clinton Impeachment
On December 19, 1998 President Bill Clinton was impeached on two charges: Purjury and obstruction of justice. He was not convicted at his impeaachment trial. -
September 11, 2001
The twin towers in New York City were hit by two seperate planes in a coordinated attack by terrorists which included the hijacking and crashing of four US jets carrtying over 150 people each. Nearly 3,000 people died from these attacks which sparked the US to declare war on the taliban.
