In Vermont´s constitution the eliminated slavery and made it illegal. -
Enslaved Africans build the nations capital
Along with irish immigrants enslaved and free african americans built the nations capital and this would later become Washington DC. Started in 1792 and finished in 1809. -
The American Academy of Arts and Sciences was founded
Established in Massachusetts and was created to promote american literature and sciences without any british influence. -
Republican Motherhood was introduced
The idea that women should also be educated so that they could raise their sons better. Many americans at this time thought that women should be educated because they could affect their sons political beliefs and they were the ones that would shape their sons into men. -

They took office after electoral colleges unanimous decision. They were the first president and vice president. -

Created in 1789 and established the Judicial Courts of the united states. And it established the Supreme Court. -
A National Bank was created
Hamilton wanted to resolve Americas debt by creating a national bank but Jefferson opposed. Later the compromised and a national bank was created. -
The ten amendments are ratified
This then became the Bill of Rights -
The capital was moved from Philadelphia to Washington DC
Alexander Hamilton agreed to this move so that people from virginia would agree on a national bank.
