Occured when Hitler turned the republic of Austria into Nazi Germany. -

This was an agreement that made Germany promise they wouldn't annex the Sudentland. Czechoslovakia wasn't represented at the conference. -
Kristallnacht
It is referred to as the "Night of Broken Glass". Hitler invaded Austria and took 30,000 Jews and put them in concentration camps. -
Nazi-Soviet Pact
Hitler and Stallin made an agreement that neither of them would attack eachother. Hitler would later violate this and attack Russia. -

This event offically marked the beginning to WWII. The British were quick to help aid them in their war effort. -

Took over for Neville Chamberlain. He was very popular among the British people and he had been an officer in the war. -
France Surrenders
The French were forced to surrender after the Battle of France. The German's now controlled alomst all of France thanks to help from the Italians. -
Miracle at Dunkirk
The British were backed up the border of France. They were surrounded in the city of Dunkirk. The British were able to evacuate over 300,000 troops from Dunkirk. -
Battle of Britain
This fight was the first fight to be faught almost entirely with airplanes. Britian was able to hold off the German's just long enough untill they called off their attack. -
Atlantic Charter
It was a draft of what Britian and the United Sates wanted to happe after WWII ended. It was later agreed to by the Allied powers. -
Attack on Pearl Harbor
The Japanese had planned a sneak attack against the Pacific fleet for the U.S. which was Pearl Harbor. The fleet took heavy damage and 2000 people were killed with another 1000 being injured.
