The Trail of tears was the removal and displacement of natives. They were kicked out of their lands at eastern Oklahoma to the the Indian territory which becomes Oklahoma. -

It was the Union vs the Confederacy and it was from 1861 to 1865. The Natives fought with the confederacy because they wanted to keep their slaves. -

A bunch of Treaties the natives had to sign because they sided with the side that loss. It got rid of their slaves and it took their land. -

It let the U.S.A get some parts of the native territory land and give it to white settlers. -

A event where the government had a lot of plots of land for sale and people rushed to buy them. -
Indian Reorganization Act
It was step in the right direction for the natives to rebuild their self government.
