    The Indian Removal Act was a law that forced Native Americans to relocate and leave their homes. America needed more land because it was grown and white settlers wanted Natives to give their land to the Americans.
  • The Trail of Tears

    The Trail of Tears
    The Trail of Tears was when the 5 tribes, Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek, and Seminole, were forced to leave their homelands and relocate. This ended many lives due to the weather, the conditions, and the lack of food.
  • The civil war

    The civil war
    The civil war was a war between the union and Confederacy and was fought over slavery and weather or not it should still be a thing. The confederate surrender and this war was known as the deadliest war fought.
  • The Dawes Act

    The Dawes Act
    The Dawes Act broke up land and put them up for sale and everyone but the Natives could own the lands. The Dawes Act was named after the senator Henry L. Dawes.
  • The Indian Reorganization Act

    The Indian Reorganization Act
    The Indian Reorganization Act was a step in the right direction for Natives because they got more rights and more freedom but that still wasn't enough. Also They were able to self-govern and had responsibility.
