The war was started by the Arabs states which were followed by the termination of the British Mandate of Palestine and the Declaration of Independence by Israel. This event was important because this began future conflicts that were going to arise. -

The Invation of Israel
Five Arab states invaded Israel. These states included Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq. There goal was to destroy the Jewish state. This was from the result of rejection and violence of Arabs and the rise of Zionism. This was important because the invation was the first official action been taken by the Arabs. -
Israel invades Egypt
On October 29, 1956, Israeli troops invaded Egypts Sinai Peninsula. This event was important because it sarted Suez Canal War. -
Britain and France invade Egypt
On this day, Britain and France invaded and attacked Egypt with military forces. The Soviet Union threatened to become involved on Egypts behalf. This event is important because the war is starting to involve other countries. -
Suez Crisis Ends
On November 6, the Prime Minister of Britain told the forces to cease fire. The Anglo-French force finished there withdrawal on December 22. Israel completed their withdrawal by March of 1957. This event put measures to end for now. -
The Six Day War
This War was fought between June 5th and June 10th. The Israelis believed that the Arabs were going to attack Israel. The Six-Day War was initiated by General Moshe Dayan, the Israeli’s Defence Minister. This event was important because Israeli policies became more complicated. -
Egypt and Syria attack Israel
On this day, Egypt and Syria attacked Israel on the holiest days of the Jewish Calender, Yom Kippur. This was followed by Saudi Arabia leading the Arab world in an oil embargo imposed on the United States and other western nations. This event was important because it continued the fued between the Arabs and Israelis. -
Yom Kippur War ended
On this day, the war officailly ended, but the fighting still continued, and the U.S. and the Soviet Union were nearly involved in a full-scale superpower confrontation. Later, On October 22, 1973, the UN Security Council passed Resolution 338, calling on all parties to begin negotiations. This would put an end to the feud between the Arabs and Israelis.
