  • The Indian Removal Act

    The Indian Removal Act was an act that Andrew Jackson signed granting them the ability to expand westward and remove Natives from their land in order to do so.

  • The Trail of Tears

    The Trail of Tears was where they forced Natives out of their land forcing them to walk to land that is now known as Oklahoma. Many people suffered during this trail and there was many tears which is why its called the Trail of Tears.

  • The Civil War

    It was a war between the Union and Confederacy. This war happened in the United States.

  • The Reconstruction Treaties

    The Reconstruction Treaties were made by Congress for the 5 tribes that sided with the Confederacy.

  • The Dawes Act

    This was an act that was made to split up reservation land from the Natives into small plots for individuals.
