Choreography
Mia was taught by her father Joe Michaels and started completing choreography at the age of 11. -
RAW Dance Company
Mia founded RAW (Reality At Work). A New York City based contemporary dance company. -
RAW Tour
The company went on a six week European Tour. -
Cirque de Soleis
Mia choreographed Cirque de Soleil's production of "Delirium." -
SYTYCD
Mia started out as a guest judge and contemporary choreographer for SYTYCD (So You Think You Can Dance). -
Leaving SYTYCD
Mia left SYTYCD to focus on other projects. During this time, she worked with the Canadian and European versions of SYTYCD as well. -
Coming back to SYTYCD
Mia came back to SYTYCD as a permanent judge and choreographer. -
The Emmy's
Mia won Emmy awards for three of her pieces, "Koop Island Blues", "Gravity", and "One". -
Finding Neverland
Mia was the choreographer for the Broadway production of "Finding Neverland". -
Rockettes
Mia was the director and choreographer of the NY Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall featuring the Rockettes. -
Mia Michaels Live
Mia founded MML (Mia Michaels Live). It is a website and platform that holds videos of her choreography, information, and news. She is currently doing workshops, master classes, and documentaries.
