Mexico declares independence from Spain
Indpendence for Mexico took years to gain. Rebels rebellioned against Spain for many years. One important leader of the rebellion was Father Miguel Hidgalo. -
US wins Mexican-American War
Mexico loses Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and parts of California to the US. -
Mexican Revolution begins.
People started to become unhappy about Díaz's rule. Madero wanted to run against Díaz, and Díaz became mad. Then a revolution broke out. -
