In the first stanza, the two young children are playing outside of a gate. They both met each other while outside and they got along and struck up love. -

In the second stanza, she turned fourteen, and married him. -

in the third stanza, they shared a powerful love. They claim to be together forever. -
seperation
In this stanza the man leaves the reader and she becomes very sad because she wants to be with him forever. -
sadness
both the reader and the wive are sad that they are leaving. They enjoy being together a lot and want to with each other till the end. -
Love never dies
In the final phrases of the poem, the speaker says "I will come out to meet you, as far as cho-fu-sa". They are determined to make there relationship work through their struggles.
