1880s Look 1
Had a closer fit than previous decades. Short, narrowly fitted jackets with narrow sleeves were popular.The lapels of jackets fit close to the neck and were extremely narrow and small. -
1890s Look 2
Men started to wear only readymade, mass produced clothing. A greater variety of clothing was also available from work wear and causal wear to dress wear. Bib overalls became available for working men. Jackets were short and narrow with sleeves revealing cuffs. -
1900s Look 3
Clothing became more accessible regardless of class and wealth. Coats were worn on various occasions. They would be seen in either a frock coat, a morning coat, or a sack suit. Although older men usually wore frock coats while the younger men wore morning coats. -
1910s Look 4
Edwardian Era fashion included suits during the day, formal tailcoats for evening,and slightly more casual attire for sporting events.Men work sack suits (long, plain, loose fitting suit jackets with 2.75 inch lapels and a one to three button closure). Modern suits are similar but usually shorter in length and fitted. -
1920s Look 5
Jazz Age. Lighter colors replaced the typical blue, grey, and black that most suits were. This was a time of classic sophistication with a level of fun. Accessories at this time popped with vibrant colors just like women's fashion.
