Men's Apparel
During the 1820s. men's clothing came into an era called "Regency." Men in the 1820s wore corsets to achive a small waistline. They wore coats that had broad shoulders and puffed sleeves and a full skirt. They also were known for wearing top hats. The shirts were linen or cotton that was tall standing. Full-length trousers were worn all day and were light-colored. The shoes they wore were narrow, heelless and low-cut. -
1820 Men's Apparel
During the 1820s, men's clothing entered in the Regency Era. Men in the 1820s wore corsets to achieve a small waistline. They wore coats that had broad shoulders and puffed sleeves and a full skirt. Top hats were also apart of this era. The shirts were linen or cotton that featured tall standing. Full-length trousers were light-colored and worn all day. The shoes they wore were narrow and heelless with low-cut vamps. -
1870 Men's Apparel
Victorian Era: Waistcoats/vests were double breasted. Trousers were medium width and close fitting in the legs. They were gaiter formed at the bottom with short openings. The men in the Victorian Era wore their suits many ways; morning costume, visiting costume, Promenade suit and evening costume. The overcoats they wore had facings and trimmings of velvet fur. Men also wore bow ties in this era. -
1870 Men's Apparel

1920 Men's Apparel
Men in the 1920s wore vintage styled clothing. The suit was more popular at this time. Suiting was worn everyday by men, especially for the evenings, work and parties. The suit was made of thick wool, mohair, wool flannel and also corduroy. Suit jackets were either single or double-breasted with 3 or 4 buttons on the front. The colors of the suit would be dark and light brown, blue, green, grey and white. They also explored with plaid, stripes, windowpane and checks. -
1970 Men's Apparel
Disco era: colors. texture and retro patterns were apart of the 70s. This showed individuality. Men wore bell bottom jeans, tie dye shirts and military clothing. Sports jackets, chinos, chunky sweaters and more were in style on the 70s. -
2000 Men's Apparel
Men in the 2000s were mixing up fashion from the 50s to the 80s. They wore throwbacks with letterman and black leather jackets, overcoats, slim fit jeans, t-shirts, flannel shirts and v-neck sweaters.
