On April 10, 2021, the Turkish Volleyball Federation's application for Vargas to obtain Turkish citizenship was approved, and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan presented Melissa Vargas with her Turkish ID card. -
Chinese Volleyball Super League and second part of the Sultanlar Ligi in Istanbul
In the 2021-22 championship she moved to the Chinese Volleyball Super League, where she defended the colors of Tianjin winning the national title; in January 2022, at the end of the Chinese championship, she returned to the Istanbul club for the second part of the 2021-22 Sultanlar Ligi. -
