The Great Famine
(1315-1317 AD)
All of northern Europe suffered through the Great Famine through 1315 - 1317. During these two years of famine, a big portion of the European population died of hunger and diseases. During those horrific days of famine, the crime rate increased to extreme. The cannibalism rate went up. The Great Famine brought unrest in peasants and the members of the upper classes also suffered a slight setback in their health. -
