Battle of Hastings
The battle started when Edward the Confessor died and had no one to pass the throne onto, immediately everyone jumped to the chance to become king. When William the conqueror won the battle of hasting the French bought over many different rules that the English must follow for instance the French made the English talk French, bought the laws and way of life over, the English found this hard to live because of the French had such a different way of living to the English. -

Muslim leaders expelled them as the number of pilgrims started to increase. This caused a problem in the Christian nations of Europe, who then decided to invade and conquer the holy land so as to control it directly. Decisive Crusader victory, Crusader states created. -

Muslim forces under the command of Imad ad-Din Zengi re-capture Edessa, originally taken by Crusaders under Baldwin of Boulogne in 1098. Zengi leads the Musleums and started the Second Crusades -

Third Crusade
In 1185 a number of English barons had to put on the cross on hearing of Saladin’s menacing progress. Nearly the whole nobility and a number of the lower class of people were carried away by their example. King William of Sicily fitted out his fleet, and was only prevented by death from joining it himself. Levantine coast are annexed under Crusader control. -

De Monfort's Parliament
The Second's Baron war was turned against King Henry III in 1265 when the royal army was destroyed by baronial rebels at Lewes, Sussex, and the King and his son, Edward, were captured. A temporary truce, the Mise of Lewes, was signed by Henry. De Monfort's Parliament was summoned in 14th May 1265
