Many things can be created with this method like bionic eyes, teeth, hearts, and even skin. This is very good for the medical field because, people can get replacements for body parts that they never could have received before. -

Stem cells were founded by a team at the University of Wisconsin. This team was led by James Thomson and Jeffery Jones. Stem cells are cells from multicellular organisms that can develop into many different cells, which acts as a repair system for the body. This is helping people find cures for cancer and HIV. -

Robotic surgery is a minimally invasive surgery. That means that there are no large incisions, instead patients are operated through small incisions with miniature instruments. This system was created in 2000 by Intuitive Surgical, an American company. Robotic surgery allows for patients to recover much faster and decreases in surgical risks. -
Bionic Prosthetic's
David Gow was the person that first created the bionic hand, and after that many more body parts were created. Bionic Prosthetic's allow people with amputated limbs to have working body parts again. This is allowed by tiny sensors that are placed in their muscles so they can once again control their body parts. The medical field has been changed by this because, people are now able to have prosthetic's that work the same as normal body parts. -

The worlds first facial transplant was carried out in 2005 by Jean-Michel Duberard. Facial transplants are taking a new face and attaching it to someone. This is done very carefully as they have to detach the veins and reattach them. Facial transplants are very beneficial because, people that have severe burning on their faces or any other defects can now live their life normally. -

Telehealth was first seen when Alexander Graham Bell used a telephone in 1876 to receive help from a doctor after spilling acid on his pants. In 2010 telehealth is becoming more popular in homes with cloud use, and self-tracking technologies. Telehealth is a way of communicating with a doctor from your own home through technology or over the phone. This really helps people that can't get out of the house or others that do not have time to go to the doctor. -
Artificial Pancreas
The Artificial Pancreas is an integrated system that monitors blood sugar levels and supplies insulin when needed. Dana Lewis was the person that created the artificial pancreas in 2016. This is a really big thing for people with diabetes because, they don’t have to worry about monitoring their levels anymore. -
Anti-Smoking Laws
As of 2018 26 states have enforced smoking bans in all enclosed buildings including bars, restaurants and workplaces. In the united states there are 16,500 municipalities that are 100% smoke free. These laws were enforced by the government and legislation. This will make overall health better for non-smokers because they will not be inhaling second hand smoke.
