    Foam Letter
    Foam letters are mini puzzle mat that may contain alphabets, numbers or other images. Niña encountered foam letters at the age of 2 when her parents bought it for her to play with and at the same time learn the alphabets and numbers.
  • Books

    Books
    A book is a number of pieces of paper, usually with words printed on them, which are fastened together and fixed inside a cover of stronger paper or cardboard. Niña and Frances were introduced with books when they started going to school. Frances' parents often read them children stories from books. Niña's experience with books was not so good because her mother would let her read books and pinch her when she makes a mistake.
  • Television

    Television
    Television is a system for transmitting visual images and sound that are reproduced on screens, chiefly used to broadcast programs for entertainment, information, and education. Frances and Niña encountered televesion when they were little because television was also widely used at that time for news and teleseryes.
  • Radio

    Radio
    Radio is the broadcasting of programmes for the public to listen to, by sending out signals from a transmitter. Niña and Frances were introduced to radio since it was widely used back then to listen to music and news aside from the television.
  • Tape Recorder

    Tape Recorder
    An audio tape recorder, tape deck, or tape machine is a sound recording and reproduction device that records and plays back sounds usually using magnetic tape for storage. Niña first encountered tape recorder when she found it in her father's drawer. She used to be reprimanded by her father because she pulls the tape until she rolls herself into it destroying the tape recorder.
  • DVD Player

    DVD Player
    A DVD player is a device that plays DVD discs produced under both the DVD-Video and DVD-Audio technical standards, two different and incompatible standards. Frances was introduced to DVD player because her mom used to play Barney and nursery rhymes for her. On the other hand, Niña was introduced to the DVD player in 2008 because her father used to play movies using it.
  • Keypad Phone

    Keypad Phone
    A telephone keypad is the keypad installed on a push-button telephone or similar telecommunication device for dialing a telephone number. Frances owned a keypad phone when she was 5 to easily contact her parents while Niña encountered keypad phone through her grandfather because he owned one. She used to borrow it to play games like "Snake" in it. It was the first phone that Niña and Frances were introduced to.
  • Camera Films

    Camera Films
    Camera film is a strip or sheet of transparent plastic film base coated on one side with a gelatin emulsion containing microscopically small light-sensitive silver halide crystals. Niña encountered camera films when she went into a cabinet and play with it or even make a bracelet out of it.
  • Personal Computer

    Personal Computer
    A personal computer is a general-purpose, cost-effective computer that is designed to be used by a single end-user. Frances used to play computers a lot because her uncle owned a computer shop back then. On the other hand, Niña's father was into telecommunication company so they owned one. Both Frances and Niña used to play Pinball and Minesweeper in the computer.
  • Typewriter

    Typewriter
    A typewriter is a machine that was commonly used in the past and which has keys that are pressed in order to print letters, numbers, or other characters onto paper. Frances first saw a typewriter in her mother's workplace while Niña's grandfather owned one so she used to print anything what comes into her mind. Her favorite part was when the typewriter makes a "ting" sound after each line because it was so satisfying.
  • Newspaper

    Newspaper
    A newspaper is a periodical publication containing written information about current events. Aside from depending for everyday news on TV, Frances' and Niña's grandparents used to read newspaper everyday. There, they get everyday information about the country including the obituary and the passers of a particular board examination.
  • Nintendo DS

    Nintendo DS
    The Nintendo DS, or simply DS, is a dual-screen handheld game console developed and released by Nintendo. Frances owned a DS because her dad got it for her as a Christmas gift.
  • Laptop

    Laptop
    A laptop is a computer that is portable and suitable for use while traveling. Frances and Niña encountered a laptop because their parents owned one because of their respective works.
  • Digital Camera

    Digital Camera
    A digital camera or digicam is a camera that captures photographs in digital memory. After the age of films, Frances' and Niña's parents bought a digital camera to take pictures anytime and anywhere. They believe that this is when the "jejedays" started.
  • PlayStation Portable (PSP)

    The PlayStation Portable (PSP) is a handheld game console developed by Sony Computer Entertainment. Niña's aunt gave them a PSP and it has a lot of games like racing in it. She and her siblings used to fight over it because none of them would give way.
  • Flip Phone

    A hinged cellphone that is very compact when closed. Also called a "clamshell phone," the flip phone is a basic cellphone without Internet access. Flip phone is the first phone that Niña ever had. It was very small and very handy. She felt cool whenever she open it because she felt like she is one of the "Totally Spies".

    An MP3 player or Digital Audio Player is an electronic device that can play digital audio files. Niña's sister owned an MP3 Player as gift to her from her godmother. She found it so cool because it was small and it contains a lot music in it.

    An Android device is a device that runs on the Android operating system. Frances' father bought her an android phone as a graduation gift.
  • Touch and Type Phone

    Touch and Type Phone
    Touch and Type phone is a type of device that is a combination of a keypad and a touchscreen interface. Niña owned one when she was in 6th grade. She found it so convenient because you can type either using the keypad or the screen.
  • iPad

    iPad
    The iPad is a tablet computer developed by Apple. It is smaller than a typical laptop, but significantly larger than the average smartphone. Frances owned an iPad because her grandmother bought her one as a gift.
  • E-Books

    E-Books
    E-Book is an electronic version of a printed book that can be read on a computer or handheld device designed specifically for this purpose. Niña and Frances was introduced to e-book when their school availed this kind of technology. It was to lighten the burden of students to carry heavy books. However, they did not avail it because it was too expensive and physical book was more comfortable to use.

    The iPod Shuffle is a digital audio player designed and marketed by Apple Inc. Frances encountered iPod shuffle because her dad owned one.
  • Tablet

    Tablet
    A tablet computer, commonly shortened to tablet, is a mobile device, typically with a mobile operating system and LCD touchscreen display processing circuitry, and a rechargeable battery in a single thin, flat package. Niña's father gave her a tablet when her previous phone was broken. She found it very convenient in watching movies because of its large screen but was slightly big for her to carry around.

    The iPhone is a smartphone made by Apple that combines a computer, iPod, digital camera and cellular phone into one device with a touchscreen interface. Frances was given an iPhone as celebration of her mother's retention.
  • Flat Screen TV

    Flat Screen TV
    A flat screen TV is a thin, digital, wide-screen high-definition TV. Niña and Frances were introduced to this type of TV when the old models were faced-out. The flat screen TV is also a Smart TV which means it can connect to the internet which can access movie applications like Netflix. It is a very good device to watch movie because of its wide screen.

    An Android phone is a powerful, high-tech, high-definition smartphone displays, containing information about their specific screen technology, resolution, size and pixel density. Niña received this kind of phone when he was in the 10th grade. Her father bought it for her before graduation. Until now, she still uses the same phone.
  • Bluetooth Speaker

    Bluetooth Speaker
    It is an amplifier and loudspeaker with Bluetooth wireless connectivity that is paired with one or more smartphones, tablets, iPods or computers. It was introduced to Niña and Frances because it was often used in practices in schools and listening to music. They found it very convenient because of its wireless specification.
