The Indian Act is Repealed
7/10 I think this event is a 7/10 because it showed that an aboriginal person could have a voice and did it effectively. Because of her, she managed to get rid of a law that was not fair to all native people. Image from canada.ca -
The Oka Crisis

Meech Lake Accord
8/10 I would give this an 8/10 because the Cree member did not accept the revisions because it was trying to reduce Aboriginal rights, they had to redo it and it saved a lot of people from suffering. Image from CBC -
Stoney Point & Kettle First Nations
3/10 I gave this a 3/10 because they rightly wanted the land that was taken from them during the war back however the government would not budge on giving it back and so it escalated and someone got killed over it. They didn't get it back until 2007. Image from labrc.com -

6/10 The creation of Nunavut was an amazing thing because it allowed Inuit people to pretty much govern over themselves. -

8/10 I give this an 8/10 because it gave people from indigenous origins more freedom. -
Idle No More
6/10 I would give the Idle No More movement a 6/10 because while what they're doing is helping to give indigenous people a louder voice however, I personally have not heard of it before this activity which I feel like isn't a good thing so their work isn't producing great results.
