    Raised the idea that children with special needs and disabilities should not put in isolated schools but rather that they should go to chools with everyone else.

    Cockrofts report maths matters raised importantant issues with mathematics education and the reasons for needing it.

    The report written by Swann raised the point that education should be for all children, from different backgrounds and ethnicities in order to help create a multicultural society.

    National curriculum was brought into schools in England, Wales and Northern Ireland in order to maintain a standard of education all students were expected to be taught. This also set a structure of tests and league tables.

    Worked toward achieving success by doing multiple things including give 85% of schools budgets to the headteachers to manage. Also worked to helping narrowing gaps of achievement between ethnic minorities, this obviously concerns me as i am of a ethnic minority.

    I started at Swanshurst School which is an all girls school, it was very different to my primary school as it was not a religous school and is an all girls school.
