Mary then became pregnant with James. He had a very strong claim to the English throne. -

Murder of Darnely
Darnely became unwell. Mary visited him daily. Then in the early hours of the morning after Mary left an explosion rippled the building. On closer inspection Darnley and a sevant were found outside in the garden dead. -

As she was coming back from visiting her son, she was abducted by Lord Bothwell. When she returned she married him. -

Mary was executed because she was discovered in a plot. She prayed until the end. It took 2 blows to behead her as the .executioner was a novice
