Mary was born in Melbourne and oldest daughter of eight.Her mum was called flora and her dad was called Alexander. -
Leaves school
At the age of 16 Mary leaves school early to start work.The money that she gets from work will help her parents with the bills and food for all the children they have. -
Job

Sisters of St Joseph
Together they formed the sisters of st joseph. Mary was the first to take the vows and she became their leader yet she was only 25.Within 5 years there were more than 130 sisters. -

Adelaide bishop Laurence Sheil excommunicated Mary from church.5 months later she was aloud back to church. -
Rome
Travelled to Rome and obtained paper approval for the sisterhood. Mary also sought to sign of the rule of life document,but it was discarded and another was bought up.After this Mary an fr tension woods seperet. -
Death
Mary died in Sydney not Adelaide because 25 years ago she was accused of being an alcoholic. -
Beatifacation
Mary was beatified 86 years after she died. -
Canisiation
Finally Mary became a saint.
