Birth of Mary
Mary mackillop was born in Victoria Fitzroy in January 15 1842, to immigrant parents. She was the eldest out of her brothers and her sisters. -
Holy Communion
In August the 15th 1850 Mary mackillop had her first ever communion. -
Mary Mackillop meets Fr Woods
When Mary went to Penola homestead, she there met Fr Julian tension Woods for the first time. -
Stable school
The Governess started a stable school teaching disadvantaged kids whose family couldn't afford. The kids took lessons(reading,writing,math,girls to sew amd boys to do wood work ) -
Covenant Cottage
Mary opened the first covenant school in grote street Adelaide and began to teach in the Francis hall. -
Mary's excommunication
The 22nd of September. 1871 Mary was excommunicated by the church for uncovering that the children where being raped and went public about it. -
Mary 's excommunication removed
Mary's excommunicated was removed by bishop Laurence, after the priest become very ill and was on his death bed he ordered that Mary's excommunication be removed from her amd also the sisters -
Back to normal
In march after the excommunication was removed from the sisters and Mary they all went back to the restore their habits -
The travel
Mary traveled to Rome to seek approval of the rule written by Fr Woods. -
Education
constitution of the institute of st Joseph accepted by first general chapter,free compulsory education becomes a law in South Australia -
Superior
In January the 1st 1898, Mary got elected to be superior after Mother Bernard passed away. -
The death
The 8th of the 8 1909 Mary dies and is buried at gore cemetery til this day she is one of australia's most wonderful Women.
