Bus Boycott
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. joined Rosa Parks in the movement of the bus boycott after she was asked to move her seat on the bus because a white man wanted to sit down and after she refused, so she was arrested and sent to jail on December 1st. He was elected to be the President of the Montgomery Improvement association which made him in charge of the Boycott. -
Segregation=illegal
The Supreme Court rules that segregation on the buese is illegal, ending the boycott and bringing victory to them. -
The Interstate Commerce Commission bans segregation in interstate travel.
