Nov 13, 1956 Supreme Court rules that bus segregation is illegal, ensuring victory for the boycott. Jul 5, 1959 Visited India to study Mohandas Gandhi's philosophy of nonviolence. Jul 27, 1962 King is arrested and jailed. Aug 28, 1963 MLK delivers the 'I Have a Dream' speech. Dec 10, 1964 King was awarded the noble peace prize.
