  • Searching for true self

I started playing basketball to try to find a sport or an activity that I enjoyed and was good at. This connects to Laurence because he had tried playing many sports but his Asthma was just too much and he couldn't handle playing the sports with out having to stop and rest every couple minutes.

  • Got our puppy for Christmas

  • Grandma and Grandpa move to NC!

  • Denying true self

My last year at a league called YAKS (youngsville area kids soccer), before I moved to CASL, I tried out for a boys challenge soccer team since they didn't have a age group in challenge for me there. I made the team but denied to opportunity since I just kept thinking bad thinks like "you only made the team because they need more players," and things like that but I was denying the fact that I was actually good at soccer. When I came to CASL I tried out for a challenge team and made it.

  • Reveling I am unique/ Searching for true self

This was in the beginning of the school year, and the year I began to play the flute. I found that I was fairly good for a beginner, and shouldn't stop playing in 7th grade. This was me searching for my true self and trying to find an instrument it was good at and enjoyed playing. Another part of me finding an instrument was when we came to the school to try out the instruments, I tried all the instruments and was told that I was amazing at all the different ones, not just one or two.
  • We got our two English Angora bunnies

  • Began playing of a challenge team at CASL

  • Got my braces!

  • Went to New York

  • Hardship/Tragedy

My Uncle passed away from a heart attack after mountain biking. It is horrible he passed at such a young age but this really brought to life how short life no matter how healthy or athletic you are. Also this was my close cousins father and my Aunt (there mom) passed away from breast cancer so now to have both parents gone is unimaginable. I took this death in the family a bit harder.
