Jul 25, 1895 Marie and Pierre got married. They had two children. 1898 Marie and Pierre discovered radium and polonium. 1903 Marie became the first woman in France to receive a doctoral degree.Marie and Pierre Curie won a Nobel Prize. Marie was the first woman to win. 1906 Pierre died in a traffic accident. Marie became the first female professor at the University of Paris. 1911 Marie won another Nobel Prize for Chemistry. 1914 World War I started. Marie worked for the Red Cross. Jul 4, 1934 Marie Curie died in Sallanches, France.
