Compromise of 1850
The Compromise of 1850 was a series of resolutions in which Henry Clay hoped would solidify "all questions in controversy between the free and slave states, growing out of the subject of slavery." Kansas-Nebraska Act
The Kansas-Nebraska Act was a bill in congress introduced by Douglas. It divide the area into two territories. Nebraska was in the north and Kansas was in the south.
