    Battle of France/Miracle of Dunkirk
    The battle of France was known as the fall of France. This occurred when German invaded France. The miracle of Dunkirk happened after Hitler conquered France and trapped the British soldiers, the British were able to able to ferry the soldiers accords the English Channel to safety. May 10th, 1940- Jun 25,1940. Parts of France were ceased under German and Italian military occupation.

    Hitler attempted to invade Britain. Britain fought off the German attack and was considered the first major allied victory . Germany suffered one of their biggest losses of the War in Germany, a large part of their Army was lost. Jul 10, 1940 – Oct 31, 1940
  • Battle of Leningrad

    Battle of Leningrad
    This is known as the Siege of Leningrad. German troops laid siege to the Soviet city of Leningrad until over 1 million civilians would perish during the siege. Sep 8, 1941 – Jan 27, 1944. It lasted 872 days and resulted in the death of one million civilians by Germany and France. During the battle civilians endured mass starvation, brittle cold and daily bombardments.

    1942-1943 battle of World War II. German forces were defeated in their attempt to capture an industrial port city. This was a turning point in the war along with victories in North Africa leading to a crusting defeat for Hitler and the Nazis. Germany and it's allies fought the soviet union for control of Southern Russia.
  • Operation Torch

    Operation Torch
    When American forces landed in Morocco and Algeria. By doing this they pressed eastward to trap the German and Italian armies being driven westward by the British, forcing German and Italian troops to surrender. This was the first time the British and the Americans jointly worked on an invasion together. Morocco and Algeria were under the rule of France.

    June 6, 1944 know as D-day would go down as a one of the largest amphibious military assaults invasions in history. American, Canadian, and British forces lands on Frances' region. By late august all of northern France became liberated and by the following spring the Allies had defeated the Germans.
    The invasions began at 6:30 am. The invasions code was Operation Overlord. General Dwight D. Eisenhower commanded the operation.
    More that 13,000 aircraft and 5,000 ships were in the operation.

    The Battle of Bulge is know as the third-most lethal American battle. This battle was fought between December 16 1944 and January 25 1945. This battle severely depleted Germany's armored forces on the Western Front, and they were largely unable to replace them. Nazi armies launched an offensive against the Allies in Belgium but lost.

    The battle began on April 16, 1945 and lasted until May 2, 1945.
    It was the soviets final chance to end Hitlers power and rule, it was the battle to end World War 2. The battle was fought between German Army and the Soviet Army. The Soviet army vastly outnumbered the Germans.At this point, Hitler admitted defeat and committed suicide along with his new wife.
