  • Lexington and Concord

    Lexington and Concord
    The Colonists and The British lined up at Lexington, each side ready to fire, it was only a matter of who fired first. Eventually, a colonist fired “The Shot Heard Round World”, kicking off the Revolutionary War. Although the Colonists lost the Revolutionary War, they successfully defended Concord using Guerrilla Warfare.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    Although the battle actually took place on Breed’s Hill, the Battle of Bunker Hill proved that the Colonists did, in fact, stand a chance against Britain. The Colonists took cover at the top of the hill and mowed down the British, until they eventually ran out of ammo. The British suffered double the casualties that the Colonists suffered.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    Battle of Saratoga
    The Battle of Saratoga was a critical part of the Revolutionary War. The Colonists could’ve easily lost. General Burgoyne divided his army into three columns, each to arrive at different points and throw the colonies off guard. However, only one column ended up arriving. Eventually, Burgoyne was forced to surrender. This battle proved to the French that the Colonists could fight for themselves, shortly afterwards, they allied themselves with us.
  • Battle of Trenton

    Battle of Trenton
    General George Washington crossed the Delaware River and came back across, in an attempt to ambush 1,000 Hessians. His attempt was successful, as he and his men easily defeated the Hessians at the Battle of Trenton.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    The Battle of Yorktown was the final major battle of the Revolutionary War. The Colonists attacked General Cornwallis at Yorktown. He might have won, if the French Navy hadn’t shown up to support the Colonists. Eventually, Cornwallis was forced to surrender.
