Battle at Charleston
The Americans gained the advantage of having fortification on Sullivan’s Island. This prevented any British ships to enter and greatly contributed to their victory. The British had the disadvantage because they could not get in with their ships. -
Battle of Saratoga
This battle was an advantage for the Patriots. Winning this gave them a huge morale boost. It also helped them convince the French and Spanish to join them against a mutual rival.
