The Battle of Trenton
In the cold winter of 1776, Washington and his men stealthily crossed the Delaware River. England's troops assumed they were retiring for the winter, however it was a set up. Washington and his men weren't stopping for winter, they surprised and captured 1,000 Hessians. Then, a week after Washington defeated a small British force at Princeton. -

The Battle of Saratoga was made up of two battles that were fought eighteen days apart. The British surrendered to the colonists, causing France to become allies with the Americans. The British decided to join war efforts with the south. -
The Battle of Yorktown
General Cornwallis decided to settle at Chesapeake Bay in October of 1781. The British thought they were the ones controlling the bodies of water. However, the France provided aid of ships. The colonists and the French surround the British at Chesapeake Bay and the British have to surrender. General Cornwallis surrenders to the American and French soldiers.
