    There were seven races over thirteen days, the first being on the 14'th of September 1983. Australia won four of the seven games with the Australian II. this stopped the longest winning streak in sport history.

  • Sydney Olympic Games

    Cathy Freeman won gold for the 400m sprint in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. She completed the race in 49.11 seconds. She was the second Australian Aboriginal champion.

  • Asian Cup Final

    Australia won 2-1 in extra time against South Korea. Australia had only reached the final once before in 2011.
