The war has been won
Macbeth has lead King Duncan's army to victory against the traitor Macdonwald, Sweno, and the King of Norway. A wounded soldier reports to Duncan how well Macbeth did. Duncan then plans to promote Macbeth. -

Witches prophecies
The witches tell Macbeth that he will become thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor, and king of Scotland.
They say Banquo will be lesser than Macbeth, and greater, not so happy, yet much happier, and that he will never be king but that his children will. -
Jan 4, 1414
The death of King Duncan
Macbeth and his wife become hungry for power and devise a plan to kill the king in his sleep. Macbeth struggles with the thought of killing the king but eventually goes through with it. They then set up and blamed the drunk guards for the murder. -

The murder of Banquo
Macbeth convinces two men that Banquo is their enemy and thet him and his son Fleance should be killed. Macbeth tells them were to ambush Banquo and his son and later gets anouther man to join in but the murders are unsuccessful and Fleance gets away. -

Macbeth's banquet
Just after the murder of Banquo Macbeth is informed that Fleance escaped. Then when macbeth returns to his guests at the table he comments on how disappointed he is that Banquo is not present. All of a sudden the ghost of Banquo invisible to all but Macbeth, walked in and took a seat at the table. Macbeth becomes horrified and his reaction startles his guests so lady Macbeth tries to calm him. She blames his behaviour on poor health and hastily asks the guests to leave -

The witches warning
Macbeth seeks out the three witches in order to know his future.
the witches show him apparitions: a head wearing a battle helmet, a blood-covered child, and a child wearing a crown and carrying a tree.
Macbeth is told to beware of Macduff; that he will not be killed by anyone born of woman; and that he will be defeated only when the trees of birnam wood move towards his castle -

Murder of Macduff's family
After Macbeth visits the witches he learns that Macduff has fed to England so he charges Macduff and his family with treason punishable by death, so his son and wife are killed in their home that night. -

Lady Macbeth commits suicide
The past has come back to haunt lady Macbeth. In her sleep she rambles about what has been done and imagines her hands covered in blood that she can't get rid of no matter how hard she tries. She becomes mentally ill and Macbeth urges the doctor to find a cure but the doctor can not heal her mind. She continues to get worse until she takes her own life as Macbeth prepares for battle. -

Macbeth is now dead
Macbeth doesn't think he can be killed but while facing Macduff he learns that Macduff was not born of woman but instead untimely ripped from his mothers whom. Macbeth wanted to spill no more of Macduff's blood but Macduff wants revenge for his family so the to fight until Macbeth is slain. -

The battle of Dunsinane
Malcolm got help from the English king Edward the Confessor who gave him solders and meany of the Scottish thanes joined him. Malcolm told his troops to carry branches of Birnam wood to keep their numbers hidden. Macbeth and Malcolms armys meet at the castle of Dunsinane where Macbeth kills young Siward before facing Macduff.
