    One of the soldiers comes to see Duncan and tells him that Macbeth has killed Macdonwald and now the war is over. "The merciless Macdonwald worthy ti be a rebel, for to that the multiplying villainies of nature do swarm upon him." (1:2 12-14) Macbeth gets for praise for killing MacDonwald and the solider thinks hes a worthy man. "For brave Macbeth-- well he deserves that name." (1:2 18)

    Macbeth and Banquo meet the Witches in this scene. Macbeth's prophecies have a very strong meaning. He thinks a whole lot about what the witches tell him. " All hail, Macbeth! hail to thee, thane of Glamis! All hail, Macbeth! hail to thee, thane of Cawdor! All hail, Macbeth! that shalt be king hereafter." (1:3 50-53)

    This is the same scene as when Macbeth gets his prophecies. Banquo doesn't take his prophecies as serious as Macbeth does. Although Banquo seems to be a bit frightened by the witches but he still listens to everything that the witches say. "Lesser than Macbeth, and greater. Not so happy, yet much happier. Thou shalt get kings, though thou be none: so all hail, Macbeth and Banquo!" (1:3 68-71)

    In this scene the 2 murders are joined by a 3rd, Macbeth. Macbeth's reasoning behind killing Banquo is the fact that he is afraid of Banquo's prophecies coming true. Macbeth doesn't want Fleance to become king. Although they kill Banquo, Fleance Escapes. Fleance is now safe when he really should have been the one they kill first. "O, treachery! Fly, good Fleance, fly, fly,fly! Thou mayst revenge. O slave!" (3:3 25-26)

    Macbeth goes and finds the witches and demands to have them tell him more things about him. Now that Macbeth has new prophecies it will affect what will happen in the future of Macbeth's leadership. "Macbeth! Macbeth! Macbeth! beware Macduff; Beware the thane of Fife. Dismiss me: enough... Macbeth! Macbeth! Macbeth! Be bloody, bold, and resolute; laugh to scorn the power of man, for none of women born shall harm Macbeth... Be lion-mettled, proud, and take no care..." (4:1 77-98)

Lady Macbeth has an obsession with a letter and rubbing her hands together like she is washing them. Lady Macbeth is regretting being apart of the many murders, she can't stop thinking about them. "Wash your hands, put on your nightgown; look not so pale: i tell you yet again, Banquo's buried..." (5:1 57-59)

    In act 5 scene 8 Macduff finally meets up with Macbeth and they fight for the throne. Macbeth feels guilty about killing Macduff's family. Although Macbeth doesn't care about what Macbeth says, he wants revenge and that's what he gets. Macbeth thinks he's safe because of the prophecies, but Macduff tells Macbeth that he was delivered by C-section. "Tell thee, Macduff was from his mother's womb Untimely ripp'd" (5:8 19-20) Macbeth then lost his throne Due to the power of Macduff's sword.

    Malcolm Becomes King
    In the last scene Macduff comes back with Macbeth's head to prove that the victory was his. He knows give the title of king to his brother, Malcolm. "Hail, King of Scotland!" (5:9 30) They believe that the king of Scotland will be in much better hands. The power of the Macduff family takes over.
